Sophie is the heart of Tale As Old As Tyne —  her love for performing, storytelling and creating memorable moments is at the core of everything we do.

 At 18, Sophie began Tale As Old As Tyne as a passion project, alongside her university studies. Through her hard work, vision, and enthusiasm, 3 years later, it has grown into the thriving entertainment company it is today.

From the beginning, Sophie has been the creative engine behind the business — personally sourcing all costumes and wigs, casting and training every performer, and overseeing all bookings and events. Her commitment to detail and passion for excellence shines through in every detail and ensures every experience delivered is of the highest standard and filled with magic. 

With years of experience working in children's entertainment and a lifelong love for Disney, Sophie brings warmth, creativity, and true princess energy to everything she doe — whether she’s shaping magic behind the scenes or wearing a crown.

Senior Princess Performer

Katie has been a cherished part of Tale As Old As Tyne for two years, making her our longest-serving performer! 

She’s currently training in Musical Theatre at MTS and will be heading to ArtsEd in September to continue her journey on their BA (Hons) Musical Theatre course.

When she's not performing, Katie loves rewatching Disney classics and dreams of one day performing on the West End — and we have no doubt she’ll get there!

Her love for Disney and performing shines through in everything she does, and she brings true magic, lighting up every event with her energy, kindness, and pure talent.

Katie's dedication from the start has without a doubt been invaluable for the growth our small business - we wouldn't have been able to bring joy and enchantment to life without her! 

Superhero Performer

Reuben has been a valued part of the Tale As Old As Tyne family for almost six months now, and he’s loved every action packed moment!

 With a background in working with children — both during his training and in previous productions — Reuben brings a natural ease and warmth to his role.

He’s currently studying Musical Theatre at MTS, working towards his Level 3 BTEC, and will soon be continuing his journey on the prestigious BA (Hons) Musical Theatre course at ArtsEd in London!

We’re so lucky to have Reuben’s talent, energy, and passion on our team, he really makes the perfect Spider-man.

Princess Performer

Lucy is absolutely loving her experience as part of the Tale As Old As Tyne team, where she gets to bring magic to life as a talented performer. Every moment feels like stepping into a real-life fairytale, and she is truly living her dream! 

At just 16 years old, Lucy is balancing her passion for the arts with her academic ambitions, currently studying hard for her A-levels in Maths, Chemistry, and Geography. She proves that she’s not just a shining star on stage, but also a bright mind in the classroom — combining talent, beauty, and brains with effortless charm.

From a very young age, Lucy has had a deep love for performing. Whether it was dancing around the living room or taking part in local theatre productions, she has always found joy in the magic of the arts. That passion has only grown over the years, and now she continues to spread happiness and enchantment by performing as a princess, creating unforgettable memories for children and families alike. Her dedication, enthusiasm, and genuine love for what she does shines through in every performance, making her a truly treasured member of the team.
